Watermedia Exploration with Autry Dye Wdenesday, Feb. 8 to Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 9:30 am to 2:30 pm Autry's workshop will focus on helping the artist go from ju st "okay" paintings to something better.  It will highlight the flexibility of the water mediums.  We all have work that is good, but not attention getting.  Autry's aim is to show each artist how to achieve this using different materials and mediums. Students are to bring some discarded paintings that they would like to experiment on during the three day workshop.  Efforts will be to help make your paintings better using means that do not stray to far from your intention.  The aim is not to change how you work, but help the artist see that you can develop more meaningful paintings.  Each participant will be given individual attention and your personal concept will be discussed.  You will be encouraged to start with bland paper, panels, or canvas. Each day will begin with a demonstration of a different way to enhance your work.
