Acrylics with Jane Sellier (6 Weeks)
9 am to Noon No
previous painting experience required.
Step-by-step demonstrations will show you how easy it is to paint. Can’t draw?
This is the class for you! Jane’s
philosophy is “to have fun, be experimental & share with others.”
1 to 4 PM Drawing for Everyone with
Marilyn Ammons (6 Weeks)
Here is a drawing class
for anyone wanting to improve skills they have OR don’t know they have! A drawing demo with instruction will be given
each week. Students will then practice
the new “skill” or work on his/her own drawing project. The classes will have an “open studio” feel
while the instructor gives individual attention. Open to all skill levels.
1 to 4 pm Awash
with Watercolor with Virginia Dekle (Weekly)
Students will learn the techniques of watercolor from
color-mixing, wet on wet, wet on dry, dry brush…you name it, you can learn
it! Progress at your own rate & come
when you can. A comfortable, inviting
class environment. All levels of talent
welcomed! Members $12 &
Members-To-Be $15.
Tuesday How to Paint Like You . . . Only Better! (Oil Paint) with Ted Burn (8 Weeks)
9 am to Noon Every painter has a potential style
that is unique to oneself, and
when developed properly,
could produce some spectacular work.
Projects will be created to help each artist develop his/her own style
while learning some techniques and tools that will help to improve the work…
copy the art of another artist to learn what he/she was thinking about when creating that particular piece... paint from our own
photographs and learn how to turn an average shot into a much better painting…
paint from still life while learning how to build a dramatic and more
simple still life (sometimes very simple things can make a really good
painting). Learn how to use color to add
depth, how to use edges to lead a viewer around a painting, and how to use
space to create drama. That's a lot to teach (and learn) in an 8-week
course. I plan to continue the class in 8-week segments on a regular basis. We will definitely have fun, and we will
"all" learn together. Yes, the teacher learns stuff, too. Some
experience recommended.
1 to 4 pm Brush
Strokes – Loose or Not! with Benita McNider
(8 Weeks)
What to do…be your
ole self or experience a different painting style? BYO subject to render,
2) your enthusiasm/curiosity , and 3) your
oil/acrylic paints to get started. The
first week will offer an interactive demonstration to loosen you up and inspire
you – every painting is a learning experience.
Have fun with it! Your instructor will be there to help you enjoy your
8-week journey.
1 to 4 pm Awash with Watercolor with Virginia Dekle
(Weekly)
See Monday above.
Thursday Smorgasbord with
Barbara Thomas (6 Weeks)
9 am to Noon You may prefer to work with
your medium of choice OR experiment with a new one…to tempt your palette with an
assortment of mediums, each week the instructor will provide a “demo” in
one of the following: graphite pencil,
charcoal, conte’ crayon, pen & ink, pastel, watercolor or acrylic. Bring your project/subject & medium, and the
instructor will gladly assist you.
